Traffic Trouble

REMOVING much of the parking from in front of our homes, sped up traffic. Then, to slow traffic down, we got speed bumps. Is this what Councillor Kelly Peasnell refers to when she writes that "revenue from parking is put back into the community" ("Difficult decisions", Veiwpoints, February 22)? A cynic would say that before Government can get brownie points for solving problems it has to create them, but all we have seen in the privatisation of our streets for the benefit of various contractors. - Chris Graham.
