WHEN residents in council properties set up Tenant Management Organisations they are provided with local offices on their estates. Contrast this with the planned demure of two out of the six remaining area offices by Homes for Islington.
When our housing management was first sub-contracted to Homes for Islington we were spun the tale that this would put residents at the heart of the management of our housing. In reality it has placed a private company between us and our landlords (Islington Council) who now feel free to operate as the worst of commercial property companies might.
